Distance - it's how you look at it.

Places that seem far away, but are among the coolest things in the city, and are a great way to spend a few hours:

Arrowhead/Kaufman Stadiums
Deanna Rose Farm
Great Mall of the Great Plains
Harry Truman Presidential Sites
India Palace in Lawrence
Renaissance Festival
Roving Imp Theater

Places that are actually too far away:

Atchison
Branson
Broadway
Horsehead Nebula
Las Vegas
Moon
Omaha Zoo
le Sorbonne
St. Louis

    Some people don't consider the Topeka Zoo too far away... That is way further out than the RI Theater.

    I could come up with a list similar to this called the places that you think would be fun but aren't as fun as seeing a show at the Roving Imp.

    Las Vegas
    Harry Truman Presidential Sites

    Wait, I wouldn't know but is the Harry Truman Presidential site actually any fun to begin with?
