Two Roving Imp troupes, One and Omega Directive, are headed to Chicago as apprentice teams in the Chicago Improv Festival in April!

People, kc's got some kickass improv. You got Tantrum, Spite, Those People, The Trip Fives, and all of them are seriously funny. You know what the problem is though? They aren't funny enough. I'm not saying their inconsistent. Not remotely. But they perform once every once in a while. And frankly, my improv urge needs to be sated more than that. But where else can I find improv you say? Which blog are you reading? The Roving Imp. Every single week you get shows! And they are just as good as anything else you'll find, and getting better all the time. With the high frequency of shows, there's no way that in one year or so this theatre will be nationally known. Why? Because we love improv, we can do it all we want, and we'll be the best there is. Chicago. Psh.

The Skinny Gargamel

People. You can get the Gargamel with low-fat milk and sugar-free caramel and vanilla. Which makes it practially HEALTH FOOD. I'm so hooked on this drink that now it's what I order when I can't make it to the Imp...but no one else knows what I'm asking for when I say, "A skinny Gargamel, please." Which is why the Imp rocks caffeine the hardest.

So I had my first shift at the coffee shop this evening. I had one customer, but she said it was DELICIOUS! I had a drink as well. :D note to self: coffee late at night= bad. Come join me making bad caffeine choices any night. It will be Fun.
P.S. Monday Nights at the coffee shop are officially Read-Out-Loud if you want to nights. Right now we are reading the amazing "Ender's Game" by Orson Scott Card.

The Coffee Shop is coming- The Coffee Shop is coming

Hooray!!!
So the Roving Imp Coffee Shop is opening tomorrow. It is a big damn deal! Not just for us imps that will now be doing every show tweaked out, but for the entire KC area. I can not think of ANY other coffee shop that is open until 1am during the week. Seriously- Can You??? Hopefully we draw a myriad of late-dwellers like ourselves. Please, be like Paul Revere and tell everyone you know that the coffee shop is coming! It is going to be great!

Strange things a' happening

So last Saturday, the snow caused the shows to be canceled. It was a big ol' bummer. But we are gearing up for the Roving Imp Coffee Shop! Pretty exciting! Shortly after the first of the year it is going to be up and running! Also we are going to have the TJ and Dave movie at the Imp on New Years Day- evening! You don't have anything else to do...
